News for the Hospitality Executive |
Chicago — March 30, 2012 —
OpenWays
has signed an agreement with The Hotel, part of the Pandox AB group, to
install
Mobile Key by OpenWays,
the first and only ubiquitous mobile
phone-based front-desk bypass business solution. Mobile Key is being
used on a
global basis across brands and all hotel star ratings to enable
travelers to
securely use any of the 6 billion mobile phones worldwide as a room
key. As
part of its ongoing property-wide renovation, the 424-room luxury hotel
will be
equipped with locks
integrated with Mobile Key by OpenWays.
The Hotel Brussels welcomes
international
travelers at its location on the fashionable Boulevard de Waterloo. The
landmark hotel, formerly the Hilton
Brussels, is one of the largest and best-known centrally located hotels
in the
city and is a landmark for Brussels on the international, social,
cultural and
economic front. At present, The Hotel Brussels is undergoing a
transformation that
extends to all guestrooms, corridors, conference facilities, public
areas, restaurant/bar areas and technology offerings. OpenWays
simplifies
the hotel arrival process by harnessing the power of mobile technology
and
using the principle of Crypto Acoustic Credential (CAC™) to enable
hotel guests
to zip past the front desk and open their room doors using any mobile
phone --
any make, any mobile network.
"Adding The Hotel to
our growing portfolio of world class hotels is a real honor," said
Pascal
Metivier, OpenWays Founder and CEO. "Due to the luxury nature of this
landmark
hotel, delivering innovative services to guests that they demand is
consistently a top priority. OpenWays
looks forward to assisting The Hotel in dispensing the ultimate service
by offering
the option to the guest of bypassing the front desk and eliminating
steps that
keep guests from getting to their rooms quickly.
"Giving global travelers the option to use their personal mobile device -- one that they are familiar with and are comfortable using -- as a room key is significantly enhancing guests' overall experiences at the hotel, thereby driving loyalty," Metivier said. "To deliver the best possible service today, self service and mobility are key, and Mobile Key by OpenWays is quickly becoming the No. 1 choice for guestroom accessibility, heightened customer satisfaction, brand differentiation and increased loyalty around the world."
