News for the Hospitality Executive
Orlando, FL – Salamander Hotels & Resorts has appointed Mary Hutchcraft as the new director of sales and marketing at Reunion Resort.
The 2,300-acre, Orlando-area property is part of Salamander’s new Grand Golf Resorts of Florida collection, which also includes Innisbrook Resort in Tampa Bay, Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast and a Legends of Golf Trail featuring 162 holes of golf.
Hutchcraft joins Reunion from her former position as director of sales at The Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Beach Shores. She has previously directed group sales efforts at Reunion when the resort opened in 2006, and also served as director of group sales for Innisbrook Resort.
A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Hutchcraft is overseeing all sales-related functions for the Reunion’s meetings and convention business, as well as catering, golf group sales and local marketing initiatives. She belongs to numerous professional organizations, including Meeting Professionals International, Green Meetings Industry Council, American Society of Association Executives and the Society of Incentive Travel Executives.
The AAA Four Diamond-rated Reunion Resort features 330 accommodations, including the 11-story Reunion Grande hotel luxury condominiums, private villas and deluxe vacation homes. Accommodations are highlighted by the 82-suite Reunion Grande, replete with stunning lobby and bar, exquisite décor, elegantly appointed meeting space, and two restaurants – including the hip Eleven, which features a rooftop pool and nightly views of the fireworks from nearby Walt Disney World. The resort is the only location in the United States with golf courses designed by golf greats Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson, and also features the exclusive ANNIKA Academy by Annika Sorenstam. Additional facilities include a boutique spa, multiple pools, slides, water playgrounds and a 1,000-foot lazy river.
