Downtown Las Vegas Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel to Become the D Las Vegas

Extensive Renovations Underway to be Completed in Fall 2012

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Mar 13, 2012) - Fitzgeralds Casino & Hotel in downtown Las Vegas is undergoing a dramatic transformation to become the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel (www.theD.com), scheduled for completion in fall 2012.

The new name is accompanied by extensive renovations that will deliver the fresh, energetic attitude and fun atmosphere synonymous with downtown Las Vegas. Upon completion, the D will introduce daily live entertainment; one of Vegas' only two-level casinos; 638 remodeled contemporary rooms and suites; and two high-energy bars -- the LONGBAR and the D Bar -- situated in the casino and on the Fremont Street Experience, respectively.

From Fremont Street, guests can be whisked up to the D's second-floor casino by a new escalator in front of the property. Once inside, guests will enjoy a completely new gaming experience. The first-floor modern casino will deliver the latest in slots and tables games manned by the D's playful dancing dealers. The second floor will invite guests to step back in time to enjoy vintage slots and an original Vegas vibe. Once renovations are complete, a new state-of-the-art sound system will keep the music pumping and the party rockin'. The property will remain open throughout construction and reveal elements of its new brand over the coming months.

"It's absolutely terrific to be part of all the changes happening in downtown Las Vegas this year," said the D's owner, Derek Stevens. "the D will elevate the energy of Fremont Street and immerse our guests in a fun and friendly party atmosphere. When guests come to the D, we want them to feel like they own the place."
