Beth Lukens Joins Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina in the
British Virgin Islands
as Group Sales Manager

TAMPA, Fla., February 28, 2012 – Mainsail Lodging and Development Group is pleased to name Beth Lukens as group sales manager for Scrub Island Resort, Spa & Marina in the British Virgin Islands. Based at the development group’s Tampa headquarters, her responsibilities include growing bookings for the luxury, private-island Caribbean resort.

“As a new member of the Marriott Autograph Collection, the profile of Scrub Island Resort has once again been raised and we are thrilled with new group interest the resort is receiving,” stated Maureen Morgenthien, the resort’s director of sales and marketing.  “With the experience and leadership Beth Lukens brings to our sales force, this is the ideal time for her to join our team.”

Beth Lukens began her career at the Colony Beach and Tennis Resort in Longboat Key, Florida, before holding positions with the Tampa Bay Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team. For the past four years, she has held sales positions with Hyatt Hotels in both Tampa and San Diego.

Lukens is a member of Meeting Planners International and the Florida Society of Association Executives and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of South Florida in Sarasota.
