January 16th, 2012 - Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA - HREC Investment Advisors is proud to announce that Monty S. Levy, Senior Vice President and Market Leader for the firm's Atlanta office, has been elected President of the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance ("AHA") for the 2012 calendar year. The Atlanta Hospitality Alliance ("AHA") was founded in late 2009 by Mr. Levy and Dan Weede of Carlton Fields. The AHA was formed to provide a forum for Atlanta area hospitality executives with transactional and development focus to network and collaborate on industry-specific matters. In 2012 the AHA became a member-only non-profit corporation, and to date has approximately 100 dues-paying members, with the goal of not exceeding 200 members. Its current membership roster includes many of Atlanta's leading hospitality executives, including representatives from most of the leading brand/franchise families, development and management firms and professional services firms. The AHA also announced at its December 2011 quarterly meeting that it would be funding a donation of $10,000 for a scholarship for the 2012 school year to benefit students of the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration at Georgia State University, in order to further another of its missions to give back to and support the next generation of hospitality leaders. |
