Woodland Hills, California – January 18, 2012 - FOUNDATION Logic Systems
ends the year on a
high note by installing their Uniform Manager application in the above
mentioned properties using Barcode technology for Ameristar, Horseshoe
Hammond and
University of Pittsburgh Medical Center while Vail Resorts and The Star
Casino chose
RFID technology to track their uniforms.
In the case of multi-locations, such as Ameristar and Vail
Resorts, all uniform systems will operate off of one central server. The advantages with this configuration are as
follows:
- No local server is required, which provides a cost savings.
- The administrator can oversee all activities in aggregate
from one location and can therefore benchmark inventory utilization at
each location. This overview will allow for the most efficient
operations to be instituted at all locations.
- The IT department can manage maintenance and support issues
from one central location.
- Updates can be done on a single platform.
Gerry Tulman, President of
Foundation Logic Systems, says, “Foundation Logic’s Uniform Management
system
is the easiest, friendliest and most efficient system to work with
whether
using a local server or managing multi-locations from one central
server.” He went on to say that “In these times
of economic uncertainty, Foundation Logic Systems recognizes the need
to bring
money-saving yet innovative solutions to their clients.”
The Uniform Manager is the most advanced asset management system
on the market
today for Uniforms. It has been
specifically designed to automate staff uniform operations in Hotels,
Casinos,
Hospitals, Resorts, Theme Parks and other uniform intensive
industries. Through the use of RFID (Radio Frequency
Identification) and Barcode technology, and now the Basic Module
system, the
time and effort involved in processing uniforms can be reduced, and
many manual
accounting procedures are eliminated including purchasing, receiving,
billing,
and order reconciliation. Take advantage
of the time and labor savings by implementing any of the following
technologies
and enjoy the benefits each one has to offer: |
UHF-RFID Hand-Held Reader
|
RFID
Technology - The New Flexible
UHF-band RFID tags are highly durable yet small,
thin and soft. This enables them to be
attached to
clothing by sewing or heat sealing. Ultra-high
frequency radio waves are transmitted to antennas or hand held readers
to automatically
identify individual items. Bins of up to
800 soiled items as well as clean hanging uniforms on a garment rolling
rack
are scanned in seconds.
Barcode Technology
- Barcodes are printed in-house, heat sealed to garments and scanned by
a hand-held scanner in order to identify the item and track its
location.
The Basic Module
-The same
functionality but much less expensive because the client does more of
the set
up, needs less equipment and supplies and receives training via WebEx
rather
than paying for an installation and training team. AND you
can
upgrade any time in the future to Barcode
labels or RFID tags. |
RFID Antenna Portal - All Garments on Hangers
are Scanned at Once |
