MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Jan. 9, 2012-- With an extensive background in the hospitality industry, Dale Nysetvold has joined the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Wayne Downtown as the General Manager. This is the third White Lodging managed property at which Nysetvold has been posted. Prior to the move to Fort Wayne, Nysetvold was the Director of Rooms Operations at the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt University. He took this position when the property was transferred to White Lodging from its previous management company and helped significantly improve the property's guest service satisfaction and staff service scores as well as the overall profitability of the property. Nysetvold's first position with White Lodging was as a Front Office Manager at the dual branded Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Convention Center in Austin, TX. In this role he was charged with all operations of the Front Office and Gatehouse Restaurant. Significant improvement in guest service satisfaction scores were also a key result there. In commenting on Nysetvold's latest position, Regional Vice President Bob Jensch said, "Dale has been in the business for a number of years and has worn a lot of different hats. He's inheriting a good team, and I know he'll do well." The variety of positions Nysetvold has held include Assistant General Manager and General Manager in the Texas market, and a number of management positions in the catering departments in different hotels in Texas and Connecticut. "I am thrilled to become part of this amazing community and talented team at the Courtyard Fort Wayne Downtown," shared Nysetvold.
