Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana,
Fairfax, Va. (Jan. 19, 2012) – Pioneering a new era of all-inclusive luxury, Barceló Bávaro Beach Resort recently completed a $330 million transformation complementing the nearly 50,000-square-foot Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe with an all-new teen activities complex including water park and nightclub, Barcy Kids Club area, and golf-only accommodations with private clubhouse.
Since opening in December of 2009, Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe has worked steadily to debut new sections of the resort to include engaging activities fit for the whole family. Recent renovations include:
Accompanying the freshly redesigned golf course, The Lakes, is an all-new, state-of-the-art clubhouse equipped with a private concierge, spacious locker rooms, modern pro-shop with Callaway club rentals, putting practice area, and the 19th Hole, a unique bar and restaurant with panoramic views of the course. Beginners and pros alike are welcome to attend daily golf clinics or private lessons taught by official PGA instructors.
Brand-new accommodations include a deluxe and family suite designated just for players with convenient access to the course and stunning views of the sprawling green landscape.
Reimagined by legend P.B. Dye, this championship green showcases rolling fairways that wind through a lush mangrove forest, 25 inland lakes and 122 strategically positioned bunkers. Capitalizing on the natural beauty of the Bávaro area, the course incorporates the native plants indigenous to the area while maintaining meticulously manicured greens to produce an ideal playing surface with the highest industry standards. At 6,655 yards from the professional tees, the par-72 course is the newest and most-visited course in the Bávaro and Punta Cana area.
Children and Teens
Designed with their age in mind, the Maxi Club, a comprehensive teen entertainment district for ages 13-17, contains an interactive water park, wave pool, mini-golf range, private bar, game room and disco. Parents need not worry; the Maxi Club is adult-supervised to ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.
Buccaneers can tame the high seas in a whole new adventure at Pirate’s Cove – a waterpark complete with a themed pool, swashbuckling pirate ship outfitted with thrilling water slides and a one-of-a-kind wave pool. Unmatched in the destination, the wave pool operates on six different motion settings to create different swells every 20 minutes. Entrance to the water park requires a nominal seasonal fee. Adjacent to Pirate’s Cove is an 18-hole mini-golf course and the Las Olas bar where underage guests can sip on non-alcoholic versions of tropical classics like daiquiris or reenergize with a snack.
Opposite of the pool are the game room and disco. Equipped with a vibrant variety of arcade classics and the latest selection of video games, the teen game room is sure to keep attendees engaged. Even after the sun goes down, teens can return to the entertainment district to dance the night away at their very own disco. Guests from 13 to 17 are welcome to enjoy the latest dance music and have fun with other teens from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.
In response to the swell of families enjoying the luxuries of Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe, the Barcy Kids Club facility, designed for guests from 4-12, has been moved to an all-new building that’s quadruple the size of the original location. Next to the Maxi Club, parents can drop the little ones off for a full day of adult-supervised activities from playing in the children-only water park with pool animation, volleyball nets and water cannons, to beach trips and craft projects. From toddlers to teenagers, Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe is fully furnished with dazzling entertainment options to delight youngsters of any age.
In addition to the renovation updates, Barceló Bávaro Palace Deluxe continues to be recognized for its unparalleled offerings such as the innovative welcome center, dazzling entertainment district, delectable gourmet dining options, new golf course and plush contemporary accommodations. Indulge in a pampering spa experience in the Barceló U Spa featuring a variety of soothing treatments, a private outdoor pool for spa guests only and a fitness center — equipped to maintain your workout routine while away from home.
