February 17, 2012 (Jackson Hole, Wyoming) - MetWest Terra Hospitality has announced the appointment of Greg Hanss as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. With two-dozen years of experience earned at award-winning luxury hotels and resorts in Arizona and Colorado, Hanss now oversees all sales and marketing efforts for MetWest Terra Hospitality, including recruiting and developing talented marketing and sales professionals and devising innovative strategies to enhance the hotel group's bottom line. "Greg has the knowledge, tools, drive and experience to take our sales and marketing efforts to a whole new level, and we're excited to have him leading our efforts as the company grows," said Jamie Yarrow, President of MetWest Terra Hospitality. Hanss joins MetWest Terra Hospitality at an exciting time, with the company having recently added Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont and The Lodge at Tiburon, Hotel Abri, and Toll House in the San Francisco Bay Area to its growing portfolio. Hanss comes from InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he spent the past five years as opening Director of Sales & Marketing. In early 2011, Hanss was recognized as a "Star of the Industry" when he was awarded "Manager of the Year, Medium Property" by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) for his work at Montelucia. Previously, Hanss worked as Director of Marketing at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale. During Hanss' tenure, the resort was a recipient of the coveted AAA Five Diamond Award and ranked #1 amongst its competitive set in RevPar during the last five years. Hanss was similarly ranked #1 in his competitive set, with the property recognized as Four Seasons "Marketing Hotel of the Year" in 2005. Hanss also gained management experience as director of sales & marketing for St. Regis Aspen from 1997-1998 and as director, travel industry sales at The Phoenician from 1992-1997. His first assignment was as national sales manager for The Phoenician starting in 1987. Born in New York and raised in Phoenix, Hanss earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations & Marketing from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Hanss will be based at MetWest Terra Hospitality headquarters in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
