DAYTONA
BEACH, FL - The Hotel & Lodging Association of Volusia County under
the
leadership of Bob Davis CEO / President, recognized their employees at
the 6th
annual employee of the year appreciation luncheon and awarded
scholarships to
students at both Bethune-Cookman University and Daytona State College.
It was
held at the new Mori Hosseini Center located on the campus of Daytona
State
College
Awards were given to hospitality employees, nominated by
their respective properties, who were deemed as exemplary in their
commitment
and attention to customer service. Award
winners included:
Food and
Beverage of the Year - Justin Bailey
(The Shores Resort and Spa) and
Christopher Sheridan
(Holiday Inn Express Indigo); Engineer of the Year -
Clifford Hutchinson
(Marriott); Room Attendant of the Year - Pamela Stewart
(Best Western Castillo Del Sol); Salesperson of the Year - Libby Gallant
(Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center);
Guest Services of the Year - Shayna
Griffitts-Lindsay (Best Western
Castillo Del Sol); Employee of the Year - Karen Lindley (Staed Family
Associates); and Special Recognition - Patricia
Moran (Daytona State College).
Six hospitality students each received $750.00
scholarship. The winners were Kayla
Davis, Damian Thompson, Jerrell Parrish from Bethune-Cookman University
and Ann
Lyon, Stephanie Hoffman and Cathy Walden from Daytona Sate College.

Shore, Princess Anne, Maryland received the Tom Staed Hospitality Award
