for its distribution needs. This decision was fuelled by the 2010 acquisition of the Regent brand by Formosa International Hotels Corporation (FIHC), the largest and most profitable hotel company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. Formosa has seen Sabre deliver successful results to their other hotel brands and decided to leverage that experience with Regent. Regent switches its global distribution system (GDS) chain code, RE, to the industry-leading SynXis Central Reservation System (CRS) on 14 November 2011. In addition to GDS distribution, Regent hotels will gain the full benefit of Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ marketing across all channels, including online travel agents (OTA), direct connects, the Guest Connect website booking engine, call centre services and mobile booking platforms. “Sabre Hospitality Solutions has proven to be flexible to accommodate the unique and customised needs of the Regent brand.
