Edmonds, Wash. — November 29, 2011 — The Hotel Group (THG) is pleased to announce that Jason Rabidoux has returned to the management company this month as Director of Real Estate and Business Development. Rabidoux, who recently served as THG's asset manager, is on a mission to grow the company's owned and operated hotel portfolio through strategic acquisitions and third-party management contracts. "THG is the ideal partner for owners looking to create and maintain maximum investment value in 2012 and beyond," Rabidoux said. "It's for that reason that I enjoy working with this best-in-class management team and pledge to do whatever is needed to help our existing and prospective properties drive revenue. 2011 was a healthy year for THG, and going forward I will be aggressively seeking new acquisitions for THG's Hotel Group Opportunity Fund and new third-party management contracts, as well as fostering new relationships with owners, developers and capital partners." The Hotel Group is a nationally recognized Top 40 hotel company that currently manages and/or owns 26 properties representing 12 brands and one independent hotel across 10 states. With 27 years of successful hotel ownership and management experience, the company is consistently successful in turning around underperforming properties and making them market leaders. "The transaction environment is definitely a challenge, but THG brings the much-needed talent to the table for getting deals done," Rabidoux said. "By tapping the internal expertise of THG's management team, we are providing a true competitive advantage for owners. Today we remain fixed on working with our investors and capital partners to pursue new growth opportunities, knowing that we won’t slow down in any way moving into 2012." Prior to joining THG, Rabidoux held Associate and Senior Associate positions at HREC Investment Advisors, a division of Hospitality Real Estate Counselors where he led disposition analysis, valuation and deal structure modeling for nearly $1 billion in lodging assets. He is a graduate of The School of Hospitality Business - Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University with a focus in finance. He is currently an active member of The School’s Appointed Board of Directors and Real Estate Investment and Development Advisory Council. In 2010, Rabidoux attained the prestigious Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) accreditation from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI). "We're delighted that Jason has returned to THG," said Doug Dreher, president and CEO of THG. "Jason will combine some of his former asset management responsibilities, such as working with our franchise partners and negotiating contracts, along with his new responsibilities of looking for strategic growth opportunities, identifying real estate acquisitions and sourcing new management contracts. Jason is a tremendous asset to our team, and our clients -- new and existing -- will truly benefit from his appointment."
