White Lodging Names Jeffrey Lawn as General Manager for the Courtyard by Marriott in Ft. Wayne, Indiana / November 2011

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., Nov. 2, 2011 -- White Lodging Regional Vice President Ron Caldwell has announced that Jeffrey Lawn is the new General Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. "Jeff has been with White Lodging since 2007, and I know he will have an immediate impact at this property," Caldwell said.

A graduate of Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Lawn's first position with White Lodging was as the Operations Manager at the Holiday Inn in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After two years in this role, he moved to Northwest Indiana to assume the General Manager position at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Hammond, Indiana. During this time he oversaw the activities of the hotel managers and hourly associates to ensure guests received superior service and that the hotel's profitability remained high.

Prior to joining White Lodging and while he was still in school, Lawn was a Student Manager in the catering Department at his university where he managed up to 20 students for each catered event. He also served as a Housekeeping Supervisor Intern one summer at the Inn at Bay Harbor in Bay Harbor, Michigan. In this capacity, he supervised approximately 75 housekeeping staff.
