Dana Beth Hagendorf Named Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer
for the 1504-room Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida

Miami Beach, FL – November 3, 2011 – Philip Goldfarb, President & COO, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, is proud to announce the appointment of Dana Beth Hagendorf to Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer.  In her role, Hagendorf will be responsible for providing executive leadership and management of marketing, advertising, public relations, and social media activities worldwide, while continuing to position the resort as a visionary leader. 
 
“Dana’s extensive background in both luxury and hospitality marketing make her the ideal candidate for this position,” said Goldfarb.  “Her depth of knowledge across multiple industries will enable Dana to position the iconic Fontainebleau as the ultimate destination, and to continue the success the resort has generated since reopening in November 2008.”
 
Most recently, Hagendorf was Founder and Principal of Gallant Media Group, a brand-consulting firm specializing in the growth of luxury lifestyle brands, including Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.  Prior to founding Gallant Media Group, Hagendorf served as Vice President of Marketing at Audemars Piguet North America, the world’s oldest watch manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families. In that role, Hagendorf managed the brand’s marketing, advertising and public relations strategy for the U.S. and Canadian markets, including an extensive retail network.
 
Prior to joining Audemars Piguet, Hagendorf developed and directed the worldwide brand marketing and communications strategy for St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, and was instrumental in the openings of San Francisco, Bora Bora and Fort Lauderdale.  Additionally, she created and launched St. Regis Aficionado, a new concept in guest loyalty programs, reflecting guests’ passions. 
 
During her tenure at BMW, Hagendorf developed and executed the marketing strategy for BMW’s North American flagship center, managing the positioning of BMW cars and motorcycles, as well as the launch of the MINI Cooper in New York. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where her team created PwC’s new global corporate identity following the company’s merger.
 
Currently, Hagendorf serves on the Forbes Executive Women’s Board and the Marketing Advisory Board for After-School All-Stars. She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS with Honors from Cornell University.
