ORLANDO, FL - On Friday,
December 9, 2011 at the Visit Orlando Annual Meeting, Rich
Maladecki, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Central Florida
Hotel
& Lodging Association (CFHLA), was honored by the Central Florida
Chapter
of the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International
(HSMAI) as a
recipient of the Gene T. Hassett Award. The award is given in
recognition of
service to the growth and prosperity of the Central Florida hospitality
industry, and honors individuals who strive toward the highest levels
of
professional accomplishment, excel in their chosen field and have
devoted time
and energy to their community. Past winners have included Glenda Hood,
Henri
Landwirth, Bill Peeper, Harris Rosen, Jim Atchison, Carolyn Fennell,
Joe
Leonard, Jim Murphy and Randy Garfield.
