La Dolce Vita Resort Selects the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution to Enhance its Guests’ Experience |
December
13, 2011 - Palm Springs, CA…. La Dolce Vita Resort
and Spa, one of Palm Springs’ premier accommodations targeting male
visitors, has
selected the MICROS OPERA Enterprise Solution, from MICROS Systems,
Inc., a leading provider of information
technology solutions for the
hospitality and retail industries. In addition to the OPERA Property Management
System (OPMS),
La Dolce Vita will use the OPERA Customer Information Systems (OCIS) to
enhance
its membership and loyalty program, and MICROS’s mylink allowed La
Dolce Vita
to create a custom website that is fully integrated with OPERA PMS to
handle
all reservations. “This comprehensive MICROS solution, with
its
state-of-the-art booking engine, allows La Dolce Vita to compete
worldwide. The software will automate
many of the daily activities required in our business, so we can focus
on our
guests,” remarks owner Tim Phillips, who spent over a year researching
the many
venders in this field. “MICROS is number one with its OPERA software,
used by
many larger hotel properties around the world. It also is interfaced
with many
of our current software packages such as “back office,” Spa client
management software
and our electronic door locks. A key
consideration for selecting MICROS OPERA was that all customer data
resides at
MICROS’ data center, in a secure, PCI compliant environment. Also the
ability
to manage our Loyalty (REWARDS) program in one central database was
extremely
compelling.” According to Jackie Carey, Vice-President of
Sales, Western
Region, MICROS, “Although La Dolce Vita is one of our smallest clients
with only
20 guest rooms, it has the energy, customer focus, upscale
accommodations, and
resort feel to become number one in its category, not only in the
Southern
California market, but globally. MICROS
sees the opportunity to provide smaller properties like La Dolce Vita,
with
tools and knowledge to become successful in the highly competitive
hospitality
industry.” MICROS Systems, Inc. provides enterprise applications for the hospitality and retail industries worldwide. Over 330,000 MICROS systems are currently installed in table and quick service restaurants, hotels, motels, casinos, leisure and entertainment, and retail operations in more than 180 countries, and on all seven continents.
