Latest IDeaS Software Improves Business Intelligence, Helps Hotels
Drive Better Revenue


The IDeaS RMS version 6.0 helps bridge gap between marketing and revenue management
for smarter, better forecasts

 
Minneapolis, MN – SEPTEMBER 8, 2011 — IDeaS Revenue Solutions, the leading provider of pricing and revenue management software, services and consulting, today released the newest version of the IDeaS Revenue Management System (RMS) – version 6.0. The upgraded software contains several enhanced and newly-added features, including new marketing campaign functionality, that help hotels improve the process of forecasting and optimize revenue.
 
“A fundamental element of using the IDeaS RMS is ensuring that you know what the system knows, and the system knows what you know,” said Linda Hatfield, VP of Product Management, IDeaS. “With the release of the IDeaS RMS version 6.0, we’re excited to announce new functionality that allows revenue managers to input hotel marketing campaign information into the system.”
 
As one of the primary ways hotels create demand, marketing campaigns can have a significant impact on revenue forecasts. To help clients better understand the scope of the demand being created through these outside influences—where it is coming from and where it will land—the IDeaS RMS version 6.0 enables revenue managers to input what they know about the volume of demand that marketing stimulates for more accurate forecasts and decision-making. The new functionality helps bridge the gap between technology and human insights—a vital collaborative step that revenue management systems and procedures struggled to leverage in the past.

The IDeaS RMS version 6.0 also contains enhanced data visualization and scheduling capabilities. The system analyzes hundreds of thousands of calculations and executes thousands of customized reports daily for clients to help ensure that the best revenue decisions are being made.

Continued Hatfield, “The reporting functionality has also been enhanced in order to deliver the data our clients want, when they want it, in a format of their choosing. If a revenue manager would like a customizable report sent to a secured FTP site on the first Tuesday of every month, we can do that. Understanding our clients’ true needs allows us to provide revenue management solutions that are scientifically driven, yet easy to use.”
