in North Carolina Introduces Newly Renovated Guest Rooms


CHARLOTTE – September 28, 2011
  - One of Charlotte’s most popular hotels has “turned over a new leaf” this fall – by introducing a collection of newly renovated guest rooms along with new signage, new amenities and new touchpoints throughout the property that locally represent a new energy behind a global rebranding initiative underway by a DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio of more than 265 hotels in 21 countries.  Bordered by the beautifully landscaped grounds of the Johnson & Wales University campus in the city’s Gateway Village neighborhood, the newly renamed DoubleTree by Hilton Charlotte is within walking distance to Bank of America Stadium, Time Warner Cable Arena and the Charlotte Convention Center.

All of the hotels 187 guest rooms and suites at the now 100% smoke-free hotel have been redesigned with soothing and relaxing neutral tones offering a contemporary, residential style.  Thoughtful upgrades have been made in guestroom furniture, tableside lighting, new wall coverings and the introduction of the brand’s refreshing new Citron bath and body amenities by Crabtree & Evelyn.  Wireless and wired high-speed internet access, spacious work desks, Wolfgang Puck in-room coffee service and flat-screen, high-definition televisions round out guestroom offerings.
