News for the Hospitality Executive
New York, NY (September 28, 2011): As THE OUT NYC continues preparations for its coming out party early next year; New York City’s first gay hotel and entertainment complex has announced that hotel veteran David Lopez will assume the position of General Manager. With 14 years of experience as a general manager and over 25 years managing all facets of hotel operations, brand development, and marketing, Lopez brings a wealth of expertise to his new role at the highly-anticipated 105-room boutique property.
Prior to joining the team at THE OUT NYC, Lopez served as General Manager at several New York City properties including the St. Giles New York, The Mansfield Hotel, the Roger Williams Hotel and Hotel Mela. Beyond the Big Apple, he also led teams at San Juan Water & Beach Club in Puerto Rico and The House in St. James, Barbados.
“As the city’s first hotel built from the ground up to cater to gay travelers, THE OUT NYC is a concept whose time has come,” said Lopez. “I can’t wait to share my passion for the property with our staff, locals and guests.”
“We are thrilled to have someone of David’s experience and enthusiasm at the helm of THE OUT NYC,” said Ian Reisner, Managing Partner, Parkview Developers. “We are certain that he is perfect choice to lead us as we become a fantastic travel and entertainment hub for gay tourists and New Yorkers alike.
