Destination Hotels & Resorts Names Steve Sackman
Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing


Englewood, Colo. – July 11, 2011Destination Hotels & Resorts, the third largest independent hospitality management company in the United States, announces the promotion of Steve Sackman to regional vice president of sales and marketing. Mr. Sackman provides global strategic direction for nine properties in the Destination Hotels & Resorts Eastern region. Mr. Sackman will also continue to support the business objectives and business development strategies to acquire new properties for the portfolio in this region. In addition, Mr. Sackman is responsible for recruitment and leadership development of sales and marketing leaders in the Eastern region.

Steve Sackman, a 21 year veteran of the hospitality industry, joined the company in January 2006 as regional director of sales and marketing. Previously, Mr. Sackman was director of national sales for Aramark Harrison Lodging, and held a variety of sales and marketing leadership positions over 10 years with Hilton and Doubletree in the Times Square-New York Market. Mr. Sackman presently serves as 2nd vice president on the board of directors for the North American chapter of the International Association of Conference Centers and was recently elected to the IACC Global board of directors. Mr. Sackman also serves as the Executive Board liaison for both the Sustainability task force as well as the marketing committee.

He is a graduate of New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
