“Mini-Indulgence” Themed Weekend Yields Maximum Social Media Results
at Marquis Los Cabos Resort’s #TNI Travel Tweetup


Baja Sur California, Mexico (July 11, 2011) – Proof that today’s traveler is willing to indulge intelligently, Marquis los Cabos Resort recently held a mini indulgence themed Travelers’ Night In #TNI tweetup that drew major attention to the trend that consumers are personalizing their hotel experiences.
 
A total of 4,286 tweets were sent during the #TNI Tweetup, regularly noted as the largest organized travel chat of its kind and recently a top 10 twitter trending topic in the US. Of these 4,286 tweets, more than 14 million impressions were cast, corresponding to more than 1.4 million unique impressions, a record breaking number for #TNI. In addition to the 520 online participants, the ZipSetGo.com Girls were present in Los Cabos, along with other notable industry leaders including Virgin Atlantic, Hartmann Luggage, Luxury Avenue Los Cabos, and CaboPro.  #TNI asked Twitter travelers 10 questions, including favorite hotel amenity, impressive hotel service and fantasy travel experiences. During the 90 minute event, the resort treated participants to a sampling of its $1,000 Tequilas Premium Clase Azul tequila popsicle with gold flakes, considered the world’s most expensive tequila pop!

#TNI tweetup participants experienced, in addition to the tequila pop, a ’Taste of Luxe’ tapas welcome party, a private shopping tour of Luxury Avenue Los Cabos and the new Mini Spa Indulgence Menu from Spa Marquis, Los Cabos’ only Leading Spa of the World. Hartmann Luggage presented each participant with a finely crafted, genuine leather passport cover.
