New Century Hotels & Resorts is one of the Top Five national branded hotel chains in China, consisting of five distinct brands of hotels and resorts: New Century Grand Hotels - 5-star luxury hotels, New Century Resorts - 5-star luxury resorts, New Century Hotels - 4-star upscale hotels, New Century Boutique - boutique hotels and New Century Business - limited service hotels. The initial implementation of EzRMS™ was at the Gehua New Century Hotel Beijing, a high-end, five-star property located in the heart of Beijing’s Olympic Park and business district. The hotel provides convenient access to downtown Beijing as well as to the western Haidian district, renowned for scientific, educational and historical relics. It also provides instant access to the Badaling highway which leads to the Great Wall and the Summer Palace. Five additional hotels in the group have also signed contracts to install EzRMS™, including: New Century Grand Hotel Changchun, New Century Grand Hotel Shaoxing, New Century Grand Hotel Xuzhou, New Century Resort Jiulong Lake Ningbo and New Century Resort Qiandao Lake Hangzhou. All will deploy the entire EzRMS™ suite, including an extraction interface to their Opera V5 PMS. The full suite was selected principally due to the overall strong data analysis and on-demand scenario the solution provides. Cathy Tao, Regional Revenue Manager for NCI, explains how the initial contract with EasyRMS was signed by the previous Regional Revenue Manager, Rachel Zhang, who is recognised by the group’s President as having made an excellent contribution to all the New Century hotels she trained. “I joined this hotel group from Sofitel,” says Cathy, “and as an ex-EzRMS™ user, I am happy that the first pilot hotel implementation was already in progress when I began my role. I am more than happy to continuously push Revenue Management at every hotel by implementing this powerful tool to more and more properties in the group.” “As a regional revenue manager, I hope that many decisions will now be helped by the supportive data of EzRMS™, where previously this was not available,” she comments. “Naturally, increased RevPar is the main expected benefit of the implementation, however, we also hope to bring revenue management to every corner of our properties,” she adds. In terms of who will use the system, Cathy says that revenue managers at property level will be the main users, but every director at the corporate office, including the Vice President, will also be active users. “Ez-BUDGET™ will be used extensively by the hotels’ group admin users, and we look forward to the delivery of the Meeting and Banquet modules in the future,” says Cathy.
