IHG Appoints Yehuda J. Brener as Director of Sales,
Latin America & Caribbean


MIAMI, FL (July 28, 2011) – IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group), the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announced that it has appointed Yehuda J. Brener, Director of Sales, Latin America & Caribbean.

In his new role, Brener will be responsible for the total sales efforts of IHG in the region. He will manage sales related personnel and implement sales and marketing strategies for IHG’s 77 multi-branded properties throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Brener has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of product development, account retention, business travel and revenue management.

Prior to joining IHG, Brener was President of AYS Representaciones y Servicios, a destinations management company that offers services to senior level executives visiting Colombia on vacation or business.  Preceding that, he was the Vice President of Global Sales- Latin America & Caribbean for Marriott International, where he developed, executed and managed comprehensive sales and marketing plans. Brener began his career in sales in 1978 at Dolphin & Majesty Cruise Lines and in 1993 joined Carnival Cruise Lines.

Brener earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Santiago de Cali in Colombia.
