Five-Star Luxury Hotel Fitzwilliam Dublin Selects IDeaS to Gain

Early recovery signs for the Dublin market encourage Fitzwilliam to implement
 world-class Revenue Management System

 
August 12, 2011 - IDeaS Revenue Solutions, the leading provider of pricing and revenue management software, services and consulting, today announced that Fitzwilliam Hotel Dublin, a 5-star luxury hotel located in the heart of Dublin, has selected IDeaS as its revenue management partner in order to drive better revenue growth during the market upturn.

While the Irish hospitality market has suffered with significant pressure on pricing during the economic recession of the last four years, there are early signs of recovery emerging. A recent STR report documented average room rate increasing by €4 over the period of January to May 2011 in Dublin. As trends indicate that an upswing in rate will continue, and opportunities to boost hotel profits and performance will begin to appear, Fergal O'Connell, General Manager at Fitzwilliam Dublin, felt that it was the right time to take revenue management to the next level.

"In my opinion, it is vitally important that every revenue management tool on the marketplace is explored in terms of its own merit and the value it can add to your hotel's function by helping you manage your rates and occupancy.
