Aug. 10, 2011--Developers of a new mixed-use development project in uptown announced more details Tuesday about plans for the site. Small Brothers Charlotte, LLC signed a franchise agreement with an affiliate of Hyatt Hotels Corporation for Hyatt Place Charlotte-Uptown, a 172-room hotel at Caldwell and Third Streets. The hotel will include an express elevator to take guests to the 10th-floor lobby with panoramic views of uptown, according to the developer. The hotel is on the same site as SKYE Condominiums, a 22-story luxury high rise now being built. The condo project had been known as the Park.
