Waterford Hotel Group Names Farouk Rajab as General Manager
of the 285-room Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa
in Groton, Connecticut


GROTON, CT (August 12, 2011)
--- Waterford Hotel Group recently announced the appointment of Farouk Rajab as General Manager of the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa. Located in Groton in the beautiful Mystic region of Coastal Connecticut, the AAA 4-Diamond, 285-room Mystic Marriott is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., a national hotel and convention center management firm with offices in Waterford, CT.

In his new role at the Mystic Marriott, Rajab will oversee all operational aspects of the full-service facility, manage all full-time and part-time staff, and will be responsible for revenue and profitability, as well as customer, associate and owner satisfaction. He joins the Mystic Marriott team from his most recent position at Waterford Hotel Group as Regional Hotel Director, where he directly oversaw the on-going operations of a portion of Waterford Hotel Group’s hotel portfolio. Rajab began with Waterford in 2005 and has served as General Manager for several of the company’s managed properties, including the Courtyard by Marriott in both Cromwell, CT and Norwich, CT.

Rajab is highly involved his community, and has held positions in numerous committees and tourism organizations within the Southeastern Connecticut region, including the Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Mystic Coast and Country Group & Tourist Information Center. He currently resides in Pawcatuck, CT.
