Frank Holtslag Named General Manager at Mansion on Forsyth Park
in Savannah, Georgia - a Kessler Collection Property

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Mansion on Forsyth Park - a AAA Four-Diamond chic boutique hotel overlooking Savannah's largest and most historic square - proudly announces Frank Holtslag as the new general manager. Holtslag’s duties as general manager will include overseeing the hotel operations, management of hotel staff, budgeting for the property, project management, crisis control, achieving key business goals and maintaining and establishing local relationships.

“Holtslag’s impressive experience and background in the hospitality industry makes him the ideal candidate for our historic, charming and luxurious Savannah hotel,” said Mr. Richard C. Kessler, chairman and CEO of The Kessler Collection. “With an extremely impressive background in all aspects of the hospitality industry, especially in boutique hotel management, Holtslag brings an expertise in guest relations, front office management and a well-rounded hospitality knowledge to Mansion on Forsyth Park. The Kessler Collection is thrilled to have him as a lead Grand Performer.”

Frank Holtslag originally from the Netherlands, attended Hotel Management College in Zwolle the Netherlands and began his career in Amsterdam in hospitality and hotel management with Hilton International. Within ten years, Holtslag opened three small boutique hotels in Amsterdam, which are still successfully operating today.

In 1993, he sold the 3 hotels and moved to the United States where he began working at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Ariz., a Starwood Luxury Collection resort. After two years, Holtslag relocated to the sunshine state of Florida and gained front office management experience at a Key West resort and at The Palms, South Beach. In 2000, Frank Holtslag joined the company of Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island records (Bob Marley, U2 and others) and Island Outpost hotels. Holtslag has also gained great experience working with Desires Hotels, a Starwood Preferred Hotel Management Company and, most recently, Sagamore The Art Hotel.

A mainstay on the Travel + Leisure and Condé Nast Traveler "best of" hotel lists, this stately Victorian manor stands as a sentinel over the charming city's historic green space and entices guests with sumptuous décor, including more than 400 pieces of original artwork, gold leaf accents and plush velvet interiors, all within a sleek marble façade. Extraordinary sea-inspired treatments at Poseidon Spa are complemented by an authentic taste of Southern hospitality at 700 Drayton Restaurant and the adjoining Cooking School, rated Trip Advisor's most popular Savannah attraction.
