MÉXICO, D.F. - 18 August 2011 – IHG (InterContinental® Hotels Group) [LON: IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)] and the Real Estate Group RICSHER, S.A. de C.V. have opened the doors to the new Crowne Plaza Tuxpan, Mexico.

The Crowne Plaza Tuxpan is in a prime location situated on Carretera a La Barra Rd Km 6.5 in La Calzada neighborhood. The hotel is at the edge of the spectacular Tuxpan River, distinguished by the tranquility of its warm waters, and just five minutes from the beach. It also offers convenient access to the commercial and industrial area and is 40 minutes from the El Tajin airport.
The Crowne Plaza Tuxpan’s contemporary style is a product of the young Veracruz architect José Luis Vázquez Cuellar. The hotel has 136 guestrooms, a grand luxurious Presidential Suite and one Imperial Suite, both equipped with a Jacuzzi for rest and relaxation. In addition, guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access, voicemail, a work desk, ergonomic chair, LCD TV with satellite, direct dial telephone, safe, coffeemakers, hair dryer and vanity mirror.
The hotel has a club floor that offers a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast, wine and cheese during the evenings and a lounge with a large, comfortable social area.
