May 25, 2011 (Stowe, VT) - Topnotch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont has announced the appointment of Steve Sicinski as Executive Chef. With classical French training and a talent for "intelligent cuisine," Sicinski will oversee all dining operations at the award-winning resort, including the creation of new menus from fresh local ingredients at Norma's, the Buttertub Bistro and The Spa at Topnotch, as well as in-room dining, banquets and special events. Sicinski joined the hotel earlier this month.

Bringing French-trained talent for healthful modern cuisine, Sicinski will continue the Topnotch Resort and Spa tradition of celebrating the local bounty of Vermont and New England with inventive dishes created from fresh, seasonal regional ingredients from the Green Mountains.
 
Sicinski joins Topnotch Resort and Spa from Mii amo, the Destination Spa of Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona where he has been Executive Spa Chef since 2006. While there he co-authored Journey of Taste: Favorite Recipes from Mii amo Spa in Sedona, featuring the 50 recipes most requested by spa guests. Sicinski launched his restaurant career at Enchantment Resort as a Sous Chef in 2004.
 
A native of Connecticut, Sicinski earned a Diploma of Arts from Le Cordon Bleu at the Atlantic Culinary Academy as well as an Associate's Degree of Science from McIntosh College in Dover, New Hampshire.
