Carlson Opens the 136-room  Radisson Hotel Menomonee Falls
in Menomonee, Wisconsin


Menomonee Falls, Wis. | May 25, 2011 - Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, has announced the opening of the Radisson Hotel Menomonee Falls, 20 miles northwest of downtown Milwaukee. The opening of this hotel is a significant step forward in Carlson’s Ambition 2015 strategy to expand Radisson as one of the world’s most attractive, globally consistent, first-class brands. A key part of the positioning of the brand is well-defined, new product and design standards.

This new-build Radisson hotel is the first opportunity for guests in the Americas to experience one of the brand’s new room styles and restaurant concepts,” said Thorsten Kirschke, president of Carlson Hotels, Americas. “These new offerings, coupled with our unique Yes I Can! service philosophy and our new hotel loyalty program Club Carlson, showcase the enhanced guest experience at Radisson.”

The 136-room Radisson Hotel Menomonee Falls features the brand’s “Urban” room style, a perfect combination of form and function. Design classics, modern lines, solid splashes of color and subtle tones are all underpinned by a functionality that has been honed from the experiences of some of the best hotel designers and operators in the world. The hotel’s restaurant, RBG, is a bar-and-grill in an inviting, contemporary setting featuring a delightful, healthy range of menu options.

The Radisson Hotel Menomonee Falls offers an indoor swimming pool and fitness center. Meeting space is available for up to 300 people. Double queen rooms, kings and several suites are available, the majority of which include easy-entry showers with waterfall shower heads. An exclusive Business Class floor includes free, high-speed Internet access, free breakfast, complimentary newspaper delivered daily, a drink credit, upgraded room amenities, turn-down service, early check-in, plus 1,000 bonus Gold Points® per night.

The Ambition 2015 strategy for Radisson entails an investment program of up to USD 1.5 billion in North America, focused on establishing flagship hotels in key U.S. cities and on upgrading the existing portfolio. Over USD 500 million has been committed so far to the Radisson® strategy in North America and nearly 90 percent of the existing Radisson portfolio in North America has committed to Property Improvement Plans aligned with the new global brand standards.
