(MIAMI)
May 11, 2011 – The Greater Miami Convention and
Visitors Bureau today announced its newest enhancements for the
destination’s lifestyle and boutique hotel program with the
launch of the
second version of the website, http://www.MiamiBoutiqueHotels.com,
along with the
third edition of the accompanying guide book; “A Collection
of
Desire”. To celebrate the nearly ten years of the
program’s commencement and the relaunch, the Greater Miami
Convention
& Visitors Bureau will host an unveiling from 4-6 p.m. at the Art
Deco
Welcome Center to introduce the program’s newest resources. “With the record breaking number of visitors we are having this year, we are excited to make it easier for our visitors to find the perfect lifestyle or boutique hotel for their stay in Miami as these properties are part of the heart and soul of our destination,” noted GMCVB President and CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME. “We launched the boutique hotel program nearly ten years ago with dedicated staff, unique promotions, a cutting edge directory and an interactive website. This relaunch serves as a renewal of our ongoing and long-term commitment to the boutique and lifestyle hotels in Greater Miami as well as to our visitors.” Reflecting the distinctive and upscale essence of the Miami lifestyle and boutique hotels, the new website, developed and managed by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, allows visitors new search functionality with the ability to refine selections based on price, location and property amenities. Additionally, each of the approximately 90 hotels will feature an enhanced profile on the site where guests can view photo galleries, Google maps to search for nearby features, amenity listings as well as access to TripAdvisor reviews. Additionally, visitors to the site can find special rates and discounts through the “Special Offers” feature, watch a webcam of popular Miami destinations and research what to do during their stay to learn more about Miami and its neighborhoods, history and culture. The guide book features 127 pages dedicated to bringing each property to life for visitors to find the ideal property for their stay. “Boutique hotels have played a big role in the destination’s renaissance with the restoration and preservation of many art deco era properties,” said Tony Goldman, chairman and CEO of The Goldman Properties Company, owner of two boutique hotels and architect of the GMCVB’s boutique hotel program. “It was a privilege as past chair of the GMCVB to establish the boutique hotel program nearly ten years ago and to have a hand in building the hospitality community here in Miami. Today the program continues to evolve utilizing the latest technology and resources further establishing Greater Miami as a destination that can accommodate every traveler’s interest – be it in art, entertainment, fashion, film, culinary pursuits.” The boutique hotel directories can be found throughout the destination as distributed by participating hotels and visitors centers and the program’s dedicated site can be visited at http://www.miamiboutiquehotels.com.
