Hospitality Professionals From Over 10 Countries to Gather at AHTEC@HOFEX

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (May 5, 2011) — Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced today that its inaugural Asian Hospitality Technology Education Conference (AHTEC@HOFEX) will gather hospitality experts and professionals from more than 10 countries. Illustrating the rapidly evolving technology market in Asia, topics discussed at the conference include the cloud, social media, data security, ERP systems, using technology to bridge the generation gap and many more. AHTEC@HOFEX, produced in conjunction with Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd (HKES) and Pertlink, is co-located with HOFEX May 12 - 13, 2011 at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

“Hospitality in the 21st century has become more and more dependent on technology,” said Terence Ronson, managing director of Pertlink and the conference co-chair. "The need to stay abreast of the latest technologies and solutions is more important than ever before, as is evident with the large group expected at the conference. Needless to say, we are thrilled with our partnership with HFTP and HKES."

AHTEC@HOFEX includes over 30 expert speakers from around the globe and in addition to the education program, the conference offers numerous networking opportunities like the Welcome Reception at the newly-opened Hotel ICON. Attendees also have access to HOFEX 2011, Asia's leading food and hospitality tradeshow. The exhibition includes a rich showcase of food and beverages management systems, POS/POS systems, wireless communications and more.

"HFTP is very appreciative of the opportunity to help bring educational opportunities on hospitality technology to Asia," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "As a speaker on the program, I am humbled to be amongst some of the finest presenters in hospitality technology. And the amount of support we've received from our sponsors and hotel companies is amazing."
