Hospitality Services, LLC (MSHS)
today announced the appointment of Tom Gillespie – Director of
Operations.
With nearly 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry,
Gillespie is a
seasoned operations expert with global hotel relationships and a
diverse
business background. In his new role, he will be responsible for
overseeing property management and owner relationships for all current
and
future company properties
“Tom will be a terrific
addition to the MSHS Executive team, and we are delighted to have him
on board and
assisting us with our growth plans for the company,” said President
Norman
Marks. “Tom’s track record – passion for the hotel business,
personal
drive and strategic foresight- make him the ideal candidate to achieve
our
stated company objectives.
With
over 30 years of hospitality experience in a variety of operational
positions
he joins Morning Star Hospitality Services to oversee the operations of
all
managed hotels within the company portfolio. Having previously been
recognized
as General Manager of the Year for Starwood Hotels and Resorts he has
also
served as a General Manager at various hotels and resorts throughout
the
country for such notable management companies as American General
Hospitality,
Prism Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels,
Signet
Hotels and Mariner Hotels, bringing those experiences to bare on all
MSHS
managed properties.
Additional experiences
include Director of Project Development in hospitality construction and
design
management having supervised over 10 major renovation projects for
nationally
franchised hotels and resorts and recently served as Director of
Residential
Services for Omni Residences- a luxury condominium project in Fort
Worth,
Texas.
