79-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Wayne Opens
Fort Wayne, Ind. – June 24, 2011 – Homewood Suites by Hilton, the international brand of all-suite, residential-style hotels, today announced the opening of its newest property in Fort Wayne, Ind. The six-story, 79 suite hotel is owned by Ash Lakhany, CEO of Hoosier Hospitality, and is managed by SuperHost Hospitality, LLC. General Manager Dave Waymire has been in the hotel industry for 34 years, and is supported by Director of Sales, Sheila Dean, who has three years of local experience.
“In times where guests are pinching pennies, Homewood Suites offers a true bundled value designed to please both business and leisure travelers,” said Waymire. “Homewood’s standard amenities include fully-equipped kitchens with full-sized refrigerators, complimentary high-speed Internet access, and separate living and sleeping areas in each of our suites. We have even taken the extra step to customize the furniture package to enhance our hotel stay experience for our guests.”
Homewood Suites by Hilton Fort Wayne offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, with additional guest amenities including a daily complimentary full hot breakfast in the hotel’s hospitality center—the “Lodge”—a full evening meal with drinks* Monday-Thursday evenings, and a 24-hour on-site pantry. The hotel also offers a fully-equipped fitness center, basketball court, 24-hour executive business center, outdoor grills, nearby recreational activities, and approximately 625 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Located at 8621 US Highway 24 West, the hotel is conveniently positioned at exit 102 of I-69. The property is just minutes from Fort Wayne International Airport (and provides a complementary shuttle service) and approximately seven miles from the downtown area. Nearby major organizations include Frontier, General Motors, Lutheran Hospital, Lincoln Life and Steel Dynamics. The hotel is also close to great shopping, restaurants and cultural activities including the Children’s Zoo, Fort Wayne Museum of Art and the Botanical Conservancy.
