Hilton Worldwide's Annual Development Forum in Mexico City
Reinforces Expansion Plans in Mexico

Mexico City (June 6, 2011)
– Hilton Worldwide hosted its 6th annual development forum in Mexico City, Mexico last week to share both the company’s success stories and plans for future expansion throughout the country.  During the event, which was held at Hilton Mexico City Reforma, Hilton Worldwide executives presented seven of the company’s 10 brands to key decision makers from Mexico’s hotel investor and development community, while emphasizing the company’s extensive pipeline in Mexico.

Led by George Massa, vice president and managing director, development, Mexico, for Hilton Worldwide, the forum highlighted Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton.  Massa also reiterated Hilton Worldwide’s interest in Mexico and named seven hotels and resorts that would open in the next 12 months.

This year, the company plans to open a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Tuxtla Gutierrez; three DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in Queretaro, Merida and Mexico City; and a Hampton Inn by Hilton property in Ciudad del Carmen.  A Hampton Inn by Hilton hotel in Guadalajara and a Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton property in Los Cabos are expected to debut in early 2012.

Hilton Worldwide has an additional five approved deals in Puerto Vallarta, Saltillo, Toluca, Zacatecas and Queretaro.  The five hotels are scheduled to open by the end of 2012, growing the portfolio in Mexico from 22 hotels and resorts currently, to 34 properties by the end of next year.
Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, for Hilton Worldwide delivered a presentation demonstrating the value proposition of a Hilton Worldwide management agreement and commented, “We are witnessing great momentum in development efforts in Mexico and we are committed to continue expanding our footprint throughout the country.  Mexico offers great growth potential and we are proud to share our success story in this thriving destination.”

In addition to the seven brands presented during the forum, Hilton Worldwide will focus on introducing all Hilton Worldwide brands in Mexico including: Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Grand Vacations.

Hilton Worldwide currently has a portfolio of 22 hotels and resorts open and welcoming travelers to Mexico’s city centers as well as resort destinations.  The company continues to actively pursue additional growth opportunities throughout the country and expects to announce a number of new projects in the near future.
