June 15, 2011 (Atlanta, GA) – Doubletree Hotel has announced the appointments of two executives to lead this full-service property in Northlake, an area north east of downtown Atlanta: Kent DeVantier as General Manager and Ciaran Daly as Area Director of Sales and Marketing. Two seasoned hotel professionals with 48 years of combined experience behind them, DeVantier and Daly will focus on-property management and sales efforts for this popular Doubletree Hotel.

Kent DeVantier, General Manager
DeVantier joins Doubletree Atlanta-Northlake from a position in Sage’s Transitions and Acquistions Department, where he was General Manager of several properties transitioning into the Sage hotel collection.  Prior to that DeVantier was the General Manager at the Westin Memphis Beale Street for three years. DeVantier has spent ten years working for hotels in the south. DeVantier got his start in hospitality as a food and beverage trainee at the Stouffer Hotel, Washington National Airport. An active and involved professional, he served on the boards of both the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Tennessee Hospitality Association.

A native of western New York, DeVantier credits his passion for hospitality to his grandparent who operated a motel near Niagara Falls. DeVantier earned an undergraduate degree from James Madison University in Hotel Restaurant Management.  When he is not running a hotel, he enjoys sports, wood working, cooking, reading and outdoor activities.

Ciaran Daly, Area Director of Sales and Marketing
Daly brings seventeen years of experience in hospitality to Doubletree Atlanta-Northlake.  Daly’s role is overseeing sales and marketing for two Sage hotels in the Atlanta market, the Doubletree and Glenn Hotel, which is part of the Autograph Collection. Daly’s first Atlanta position was back in 1994 at the Atlanta Marriott Gwinnett Place where he started out as a catering sales manager. He earned a Bachelor of Administration in Communications from Georgia State University.

Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he now residence in Cherokee County, GA; where he serves as a reserve for the county sheriff’s deputy.  He currently resides in Cherokee County, GA and when not busy at his hotels, he spends time with friends and family.
