WATERFORD, CT (April 1, 2011) – Waterford Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Robert J. Reeves as General Manager of The Lord Jeffery Inn located in Amherst, Massachusetts. The Lord Jeffery Inn is currently closed for a $14 million restoration and renovation project, and is slated to reopen late summer of 2011. The property is owned by the Amherst Inn Company, an affiliate of Amherst College, and is managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel and convention center management firm. As General Manager, Reeves is responsible for all of the inn’s operations, sales and administration. He joins The Lord Jeffery Inn from his most recent position as Director of Operations for The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, NC, where he had also once served as Food & Beverage Director. Previously, Reeves spent seven years with the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix, AZ, where he served in such positions as Director of Operations, Food & Beverage Director, and Restaurant General Manager. “Robert brings a wealth of hospitality experience to his position as General Manager of The Lord Jeffery Inn,” commented Rob Winchester, President of Waterford Hotel Group. “He will be a tremendous asset in showcasing this newly renovated property as the premier destination for lodging, dining, corporate meetings, and social events.” Reeves is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where he holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science.
