Buffalo Lodging Names Kimberly Tyger as Director of Sales for the Soon to Open
139-room Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport in Cheektowaga, New York



BUFFALO, NY (April 19, 2011) - Buffalo Lodging Associates is proud to announce the appointment of Kimberly Tyger to the director of sales position at the Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport hotel, scheduled to open in late-June. The 5-story, 139-room hotel is located at 4243 Genesee Street in Cheektowaga, NY, directly across from the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport. This will be Buffalo Lodging’s fifth hotel to open in the Town of Cheektowaga.

Ms. Tyger joins Buffalo Lodging with 18 years of service industry experience, including 10 years in hospitality. Her most recent position was director of sales for Hart Hotels, where she managed corporate accounts for Holiday Inn Downtown, along with the government, association and tour and travel market segments for the rest of the company’s Buffalo hotel portfolio. Kim’s previous experience includes sales management at the Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Buffalo and for a Courtyard by Marriott in Buckhead, Georgia. Kim also served as general manager for Best Western at the Grenada Inn & Suites and the Inn at the Peachtrees in Atlanta, Georgia.

Prior to embarking on a hospitality career, Ms. Tyger served in the US Army for 7 years as a military police officer. Kim attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville’s Business Management program. She currently resides on Orchard Park, NY.

For onsite dining, The Bistro will offer high quality, healthy menu options for breakfast; and light evening fare, including snacks, wine and beer so guests can unwind. Starbucks® Coffee products will also be available in The Bistro. The large business library will feature several complimentary computer terminals along with a free printer and separate computer stations dedicated to printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status. In addition to the great interior spaces, Courtyard by Marriott Buffalo-Airport will feature an outdoor patio with a fire pit for guests to relax and enjoy during the warm weather months.

Spacious rooms will offer plush bedding, HDTVs and a comfortable sitting area. Complimentary high speed internet access will be available in all guest rooms, along with Wi-Fi in public spaces. The hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor pool and whirlpool, plus a meeting room accommodating up to 70 people.
