Boykin+Prospera to Manage 172-room Hyatt Place Hotel
in Charlotte, North Carolina Owned by Small Brothers



Charlotte, North Carolina, April 21, 2011— Boykin+Prospera is pleased to announce their upcoming joint management of a new Hyatt Place, a 172-room hotel located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Small Brothers of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the 22 story unfinished condo tower for in 2010 and had the land rezoned for a mixed use project to include a hotel. Located at the intersection of Third and Caldwell Streets in uptown Charlotte, the building will have a unique design to include:
  • 172-room Hyatt Place
  • 67 residential condos
  • 9,000 square foot rooftop restaurant with an outdoor lounge and bar
  • Rooftop pool and sun deck
  • 2,600 square feet of retail space at ground level
  • Parking garage
“We are very happy to be back in the Queen City and part of the Uptown hotel and business community” stated Kevin Kilkeary, President and CEO of Boykin+Prospera.

The project is scheduled to be complete by September 2012, in time for the Democratic National Convention being hosted in Charlotte. “Charlotte is going to be one of the strengthening hospitality markets in the next few years and we are excited to be located in the heart of the action in this great American city” stated Robert W.
