announce that they have been awarded the management contract for the
Hampton Inn
Portland/Downtown-Waterfront hotel, under development at 209
Fore Street in Portland’s Old Port area in Portland, Maine. The new Portland, ME hotel is owned Mark Woglom and Greg Kirsch, holding title through 209 Fore Street LLC, and is scheduled to open this summer. The hotel was designed, permitted and is being constructed by the Opechee Construction Corporation of Belmont, New Hampshire, which has designed and built 30 hotels in New England since 2000. As a fully integrated hotel development and management organization, Buffalo Lodging will be providing operations, sales and marketing, human resource, and accounting services for the new hotel. Buffalo Lodging Associates, in partnership with Benderson Properties, LLC, owns and operates hotels in New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Florida, New Jersey, Missouri, and Ontario, Canada. “We are thrilled that the owners have selected Buffalo Lodging to manage the operations of this hotel; and it is especially gratifying when an owner of a company that builds hotels selects you as their operator,” stated Cole Fach, vice president of development for Buffalo Lodging Associates. “We look forward to welcoming guests this summer and to becoming an integral part of the both the downtown and Casco Bay community,” added Fach. The 122-room, 6-story Hampton Inn Portland/Downtown-Waterfront hotel is easily accessible off I-295 and I-95, 5 miles from the Portland International Jetport, and will offer complimentary airport transportation for guests. The hotel is within walking distance to Casco Bay Lines ferry terminal, ocean excursions and sailing tours, boutique shops, museums and galleries, restaurants and cafés. The new Hampton Inn Portland/Downtown-Waterfront will offer several amenities including a complimentary hot and fresh breakfast buffet served daily, On the Run® breakfast bags, complimentary Wi-Fi, and the brand’s 100% Hampton Guarantee, which guarantees each guest full satisfaction or their night’s stay is free.
