SoftBrands in A Meeting of the Minds
to Discuss Hotel Technology Trends
ATLANTA – MARCH 7, 2011 – SoftBrands, an affiliate of Infor a leading provider of business application software serving over 70,000 customers, today announced the results of a recent meeting with hospitality industry experts.
At an upscale Las Vegas resort and Infor customer, executives from the company and select technology analysts and industry consultants and experts gathered to discuss hotel technology trends. Following a quick briefing by SoftBrands executives on the company’s product development status and roadmap, the group launched into discussions about key technology trends in context with the SoftBrands strategy.
With a focus on helping hotels use their technology tools for improved profitability, the group reviewed technology needs and trends from the front desk, through housekeeping and engineering, to the call center and around into the areas of corporate and property financial performance. Discussions included topics around improved efficiencies, the use of mobile apps, integration needs and the use of distribution strategies and technologies.
Prior to the start of the event, the SoftBrands team surveyed all attendees regarding technology trends which aided in keeping the discussion focused and relevant. Some results the team used in context with the SoftBrands product strategy include:
