Kokua Hospitality Names Slavyana Kolesnikova Senior Catering Manager
for 500-room Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile

CHICAGO, Ill. – March 2, 2011 – Slavyana Kolesnikova has been named senior catering manager for the 500-room upscale Doubletree Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile, 300 E. Ohio Street, according to Phil Tufano, partner and executive vice president of Kokua Hospitality, LLC.

“Slavyana’s multicultural background brings a unique perspective to her role as senior catering manager,” said Tufano.  “She has international expertise that offers a variety of options for our guests, and experience that ensures our meeting and social event venues are carefully utilized to meet our clients’ needs,” he added.

Kolesnikova most recently served as senior catering manager at Chicago’s Congress Plaza Hotel.  In her role with Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile, Kolesnikova will work with all facets of catering, including planning and management of business and social events, including the important wedding market.  Doubletree Chicago Magnificent Mile offers 16,000 square feet of meeting space in 13 event spaces.

Originally from Novosibirsk, Russia, the capital of Siberia, Kolesnikova took advantage of her fluency in English to begin her career in events management as a marketing coordinator for international trade shows in her home country.  She added event planning for financial services and publishing industries to her career prior to taking the position at the Congress Plaza.
