Sherrie Huebner Appointed as the Spa Director of the Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge,
Reynolds Plantation on Georgia’s Lake Oconee

GREENSBORO, Ga. (March 10, 2011)
– Longtime spa industry professional Sherrie Huebner has been named the new spa director of the Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, an award-winning, 27,600-square-foot wellness facility offering a decidedly seasonally inspired treatment menu.

In her new role, Huebner will supervise all spa operations – overseeing 45 employees, a fitness facility, an indoor spa pool, a spa salon and boutique and a spa menu with more than 90 treatments, including unique water-themed therapies.

“Sherrie has extensive experience in developing and opening new spa facilities and creating innovative spa menus,” said Ralph Vick, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Lodge. “With her considerable expertise, we are poised to reposition our spa as the top wellness retreat in the region.”

With more than 15 years of spa and wellness industry experience, Huebner was most recently director of spa services for the Natural Wellness USA, a retail, spa and movement space based in Arlington, Texas. Prior to that, she served as spa director for Lake Austin Spa Resort in Austin, Texas, and at Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix. Additionally, she helped conceive, launch and operate the luxury spas at Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio and the St. Regis Hotel and Spa in Los Angeles.

A licensed massage therapist, she has also received training in Ayurvedic and advanced aromatherapy treatments, as well as spa management. She is a member of the International Spa Association and Spa Team International.

Named one of America’s top resort spas by Condé Nast Traveler, the Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation is adjacent to the hotel and features 19 private treatment rooms, a couple’s spa suite, four wet treatment rooms, male and female relaxation areas with lockers and changing facilities, an indoor lap pool, saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, a relaxation terrace, a full-service salon and a spa boutique. This state-of-the-art sanctuary offers dozens of health and wellness treatments, many of them utilizing rejuvenating ingredients indigenous to the area, such as rosemary, pine, fir and geranium, and inspired by the Native American traditions of the Creek Indians. The facility also houses a fully equipped 1,700-square-foot fitness center with a variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment as well as a 700-square-foot movement studio.
