Waterford Hotel Group Names Michael Costelli of the Connecticut Convention Center
General Manager of the Year

Hartford, CT (March 30, 2011) --- Michael Costelli from the Connecticut Convention Center was named “General Manager of the Year” during the Waterford Hotel Group Annual Awards Dinner and Leadership Conference held recently at the Hilton Hotel in Hartford. The Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford overlooks the beautiful Connecticut River at Adriaen’s Landing, the City’s exciting new riverfront district. The Connecticut Convention Center is owned by the State of Connecticut; their operation is overseen by the Capital City Economic Development Authority, and is professionally managed by Waterford Venue Services, an affiliate of Waterford Hotel Group, a leader in the hospitality and gaming industries.

General managers and directors of sales from Waterford’s portfolio attended the 2-day conference to review their 2010 performance as well as share ideas and set goals for 2011. The conference ended on a celebratory note with an awards ceremony honoring the company’s top performing teams in 2010. Costelli was recognized as General Manager of the Year for being the ultimate champion of guest service.
