Alex Spektor moves from general manager of Affinia Gardens to general manager at Affinia Dumont in Murray Hill. Alex received a degree in technology in 1996 from the New York City College of Technology, where he was also an adjunct professor of Lodging Operations. Replacing Spektor at Affinia Gardens is new general manager Glenda Maldonado, who most recently served as assistant general manager of Affinia Dumont. Maldonado was recruited by Denihan 22 years ago upon her graduation from New York City College of Technology where she earned her degree in hotel and restaurant management. Affinia Gardens is a tranquil suite hotel located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. George Drepaul, who has been with Denihan since 1986, was promoted to general manager of Affinia Shelburne, also in Murray Hill, following a five-year tenure as general manager of Denihan’s independent Murray Hill property, Eastgate Tower. Drepaul received his degree from University of Guyana (South America), and later studied hospitality management at New York University. Philip Garcia, previously director of housekeeping at Affinia Manhattan, replaces Drepaul as general manager of Eastgate Tower. Garcia joined Denihan in 1988 and has held assignments at Affinia Shelburne and Affinia Dumont.
