Club Intrawest “Lexicon” Shapes Members’ “Best Vacations of Their Lives”
The
organization’s Storybook
received ARDA honors in the Brochure (8+ pages) Category.
The Storybook was created to put forth the
message that although the organization has top flight resorts (two of
which
also received architecture and design finalist placement), there is
more to
Club Intrawest than bricks and mortar. As
the Storybook says “There’s a feeling too. A
sense of belonging, a genuine community of
like-minded individuals connected by the Club experiences they will
treasure
forever.” “A happy, thriving Member community makes
Club Intrawest
successful,” said Robert Reyes, Vice President of Member Experience for
Club
Intrawest. Reyes, who has been with
Club Intrawest for nine years and whose background includes senior
management
positions with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Sheraton Hotels,
says the
company’s Guiding Lights are “concepts we incorporate into all aspects
of the
Club experience. We call them out in our brochure which is used to
educate new
Team Members, vendors and possible new partners as we grow.” The Storybook uses this lexicon to shape
actions and
results. The words Club, Escape,
Selective, Simple, Extraordinary and Treasured are not just words, but
clearly
principles which make Club Intrawest vacation experiences unique and
memorable. “At Club Intrawest, we pride ourselves on
being
different. This is why we’ve developed
our own language,” says Reyes. “From our
‘Member Reception’ to our ‘Club Ambassador’ we differentiate ourselves
from
other lodging providers, timeshare companies, vacation clubs,
fractional
properties and hotels.” Club Intrawest
will make its
Storybook available electronically to those interested in understanding
why the
Club has an advantage over its competitors. For

its first location
in 1994, people from 48 countries have joined, enjoying eight Club
Intrawest
locations across Canada, the United States and Mexico and access to
hand-picked
hotels, resorts and lodging properties through ExtraOrdinary Escapes,
Intrawest’s private exchange program. For more
