(March 16, 2011) – Building on its impressive momentum in the Asia Pacific region last year, having opened nearly 100 properties in the region in 2010, Wyndham Hotel Group, part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN), today announced agreements to open and manage a Wyndham® hotel in Sanya, China, and a new Wyndham hotel in Thailand, to be developed in Khao Lak.



The 26-story Wyndham Sanya Resort, to be built by Sanya Hengsen Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., and expected to open in January 2014, will offer access to the beach, shopping and entertainment. Each of the 403 guest rooms will provide scenic views of Sanya Bay. The resort will feature indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym, meeting and banquet space and Western, Chinese and specialty restaurants.
