2011 — Hotel Teatro, Denver’s premier luxury boutique hotel, welcomes
Jim
Turner as the newly-appointed general manager, effective February 1. In
his new
role, Turner will oversee all aspects of the award-winning property and
continue to place emphasis on the personalized services and luxury
amenities
that the hotel has become known for. “We’re thrilled to have Jim on board,” said Jonathan Bryant, director of sales for the Hotel Teatro. “He brings a wealth of expertise and in-depth industry knowledge to our property, with his wide range of hospitality experience from quality business hotels and resorts. We’re confident that he will be an excellent addition to the team.” Turner brings more than 15 years of hospitality experience to Hotel Teatro. Most recently, Turner was the director of operations for the Colorado Chautauqua Association, where he oversaw everything from historic cottage rentals, meeting and retreat venues, public events and programming, to maintenance of the 26-acre campus. Prior to that, Turner worked for Destination Hotels & Resorts for more than 12 years, where he was the general manager of properties including the Lion Square Lodge in Vail, the Doubletree Denver Southeast and the Doubletree Hotel at the San Francisco Airport, before moving to the Destination Hotels corporate office, where he served as senior vice president of operations. “I look very forward to joining the Hotel Teatro team,” said Jim Turner, new general manager of Hotel Teatro. “The property has an impeccable reputation and I’m excited to be a part of what they do.” About Hotel Teatro Hotel Teatro is an exceptional luxury boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Denver, featuring 110 guest rooms and suites.
