HITEC 2011 to Use New Method to Improve Exhibit Hall Experience

Vendors Encouraged to Book Exhibit Hall Space Before Rate Goes Up February 1

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (January 25, 2011) – As a new value-added service, 2011 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) exhibitors will receive a complimentary observation and written evaluation of their exhibit in action during the show. The program, called E³ — Exhibiting Effectiveness Evaluation, aims to foster and support excellence and continual improvement in the exhibit hall, resulting in an improved experience for attendees.

"While at first glance this new service seems like it only affects HITEC exhibitors, it is actually beneficial for all HITEC stakeholders," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®), producers of HITEC. "Ultimately, exhibitors will be able to evaluate their performance at the trade show and make adjustments for future shows, allowing attendees to have a more positive experience."

During the active exhibit hours of the exposition, Jefferson Davis of Competitive Edge and a hand picked team of experienced exhibition industry professionals will observe and conduct a written evaluation of every exhibit in action. No entry is required as all exhibitors are automatically included in the program free of charge. After the trade show, exhibitors receive a copy of their scorecard and can use the information to make improvements. Exhibitors can also access a report detailing specifically what the judges looked for in their evaluation and access information on how to improve exhibiting performance and results.

With prime exhibit space going fast and a booth fee increase on February 1, potential exhibitors are encouraged to book their exhibit space soon. HITEC exhibitors feature the most current hospitality products and services for distribution, audio/visual, energy management, Internet, information processing, security, in-room entertainment, reservation systems, mobile apps and much more.

HITEC 2011 is the world's largest hospitality technology exposition and conference. The conference is June 20-23 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas USA.
