Carlson Hotels Promotes Fiona Godfrey to Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific;
Rosie Hollis Joins as Executive Vice President, Human Resources

SINGAPORE (Jan. 11, 2011) - Carlson, a privately held, global hospitality and travel company, today announced two senior appointments for Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific in support of its Ambition 2015 strategy.
 
Rosie Hollis is joining Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific as executive vice president, Human Resources, effective Feb. 7, 2011. 
 
Hollis is an experienced human resources specialist with a proven track record in building organizational capability. She will be responsible for the Asia Pacific human resources strategy as the company places a heightened focus on developing its overall organization in support of its strong growth in the region. Hollis was previously vice president, Strategy for Accor in Australasia and vice president, Human Resources for Hilton in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
 
Fiona Godfrey has been promoted to vice president, Sales for Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific. Godfrey will spearhead the region’s sales strategy to drive greater revenues, as well as boost international sales through increased outbound sales from Asia Pacific. She will be responsible for building the sales force in key markets such as China and India. Godfrey is a highly accomplished professional with 26 years of hospitality sales and marketing experience. She has contributed to a 45 percent increase in corporate account room bookings in her three years as Asia Pacific regional sales director for the company. Prior to that, she was the regional sales and marketing director for Carlson Hotels in Australia.

Human resources will be pivotal in talent management and recruitment as we grow and expand our portfolio of hotels throughout Asia Pacific. Similarly, the creation of a senior sales role will strengthen our efforts to grow our global accounts and increase international sales,” said Simon Barlow, president, Carlson Hotels, Asia Pacific.
 
These two senior appointments support Carlson’s Ambition 2015 growth strategy to expand its global portfolio by at least 50 percent to more than 1,500 hotels in operation by 2015.
